ABOUT BILL KARELIS

 

Bill Karelis arrives in March for the 13th time in Romania. He was born in Boston in the United States and was educated at Harvard College, from which he graduated with High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1969. He worked for many years in business and at the same time received training in Buddhist meditation and the secular Shambhala tradition from some of the greatest Tibetan masters. Mr. Karelis has engaged in nonprofit activity, including co-founding 11 medical clinics in Asia and volunteer prison work, and traveled the world presenting the insights of meditation for over 20 years.
